2009 UW Energy Hub Conference

October 16, 2009
Monona Terrace, Madison, WI

Energy Hub’s 2009 Conference revolves around the themes of Energy, Economy and Environment, with emphasis on the opportunities and challenges of deploying renewables like wind, solar, and biomass on a national scale.

Our conference is FREE to UW students and Energy Hub members, and we thank our generous sponsors for making this happen.

Registration is free for students and faculty, the registration deadline is 11:59pm Monday, October 12. Registration for non-academics is $250 for the whole day (including lunch), $125 for just the morning or afternoon including lunch, and $100 for just the morning or afternoon without lunch. Please contact Corey Singletary (csingletary@wisc.edu) to register if you are not a UW student, faculty, or post-doc.

Twenty UW-Madison students have been chosen to showcase their original research posters at the conference.  We received a large number of excellent poster proposals this year, and unfortunately don’t have room to feature all of the posters that deserve to be shown at the conference!  Safe to say, we’re proud to have so much great research happening at UW-Madison.

Please visit Why Sponsor? if you are interested in helping to sponsor the conference or Energy Hub in general.
This year’s conference will:

• Challenge students to explore the relationship between Energy, Economy and Environment
• Encourage research and collaboration between industry and the University of Wisconsin
• Promote collaboration between students across academic disciplines in relation to energy
• Promote employment in the energy industry
