REthink Wisconsin: Recyclers Needed at Camp Randall

Members of REthink Wisconsin storm Camp Randall Stadium after every UW home football game to collect discarded plastic bottles and other recyclables.  They’ve collected over 1,200 lbs. of recyclables at a single game! (see image above)  This is an important service to the UW Athletics community – help divert tons of non-trash from the landfill!

Energy Hub members can help out by volunteering with REthink during and after UW football games – it’s fun, eco-friendly, and easy!  Contact Maggie Galloway mgalloway@wisc.edu to sign up to volunteer, or show up at Gate A just after the game ends and look for the other volunteers wearing blue shirts (the shirts are provided for volunteers).  With 30+ pairs of hands, sweeping the stadium only takes an hour or so.

REthink still needs volunteers for the upcoming football game, Saturday, November 14.
Where: Gate A, Camp Randall Stadium
When: 2pm, or just after the game ends
What to bring: just yourself – collection bags and protective gloves are provided!
