U&WE Hub hosted an online event dedicated to Women's Entrepreneurship Day “BusinessWomen: United Across Borders”, which brought together businesswomen from all over the world.
The event became a platform for celebrating achievements and discussing opportunities, sharing experiences and networking, finding like-minded people, and expanding the network of contacts. Five incredible speakers from Ukraine, Gambia, Romania, Saudi Arabia, and Great Britain gave inspiring speeches about the state of women's entrepreneurship in their countries and shared personal experiences on the path to successful entrepreneurship.
Maryna Saprykina, Head of CSR Ukraine, and the founder of U&WE Hub, spoke about the challenges that Ukrainian entrepreneurs are currently facing, their extraordinary resilience, influence of war on the Ukrainian business, and mentioned the importance of community at uncertain times. Talented entrepreneur from Israel Osnat Peled has experience in running a business in various countries and for the past 15 years in Romania. She talked about the extraordinary strength, unity, and cohesiveness of Romanian businesswomen. The organization headed by Osnat, Business Women Forum Romania, is dedicated to women’s enrichment, support, and networking in the business arena.
The speaker from Gabmia, Fateema Jeelmah, founder of Jelmah Herbella, raised the issue of equal access and opportunities for women. For her efforts and for creating livelihood opportunities for women and their families, Fateema received multiple international awards. As a program lead at Buzz Women, she also teaches women groups how to mitigate the effects of climate change.
Amel Derragui, business and marketing coach, podcast host of empowering women through entrepreneurship, and founder of Tandem Nomads, gave an inspiring speech about the basic components that help to keep a work-life balance in women's entrepreneurship.
Madi Sharma, an entrepreneur and founder of Madi Group, book author, and a brilliant speaker told the participants about her core beliefs for success: believing in yourself, no blame culture, and putting yourself first. Her 7Fs recipe for moving from an idea to a goal was a perfect inspirational ending to the panel.
This event brought up businesswomen from Ukraine, Romania, Poland, Latvia, Moldova, Netherlands, Gambia, Great Britain, United States. At the second part of the event businesswomen discussed current challenges, shared experiences, and communicated in the international groups. The special WhatsApp chat was created as a platform for further interaction with businesswomen from different countries.
International Women's Entrepreneurship Day is celebrated annually in 144 countries. As a community of Ukrainian women entrepreneurs U&WE Hub supports this initiative and creates opportunities for women's entrepreneurship. We strongly believe that together we can achieve more!
