On Thursday, March 21, the presentation of the Product Catalog of Women's Businesses by U&WE Hub took place. The creation of the catalog aims to assist Ukrainian entrepreneurs in developing their businesses, increasing their visibility and market presence in international markets, finding new business partners, and opening up pathways to new opportunities and international cooperation. The presentation of the printed edition took place at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kyiv.
At the event, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine, Esselin van Eerten, highlighted the extraordinary role that women-owned businesses play in the development of cities and communities, contributing to the economic growth not only of their families but also of the country. "I am impressed by the incredible resilience, courage, optimism, and creativity demonstrated by Ukrainian women in these challenging times. And this catalog is proof of that!"
Marina Saprykina, Head of CSR Ukraine and founder of U&WE Hub, emphasized that the mission of U&WE Hub is to support women entrepreneurs in the development of their businesses. "Today, more than ever, it is crucial to support women on the path of creating businesses. When we conceived the catalog of women-owned businesses, we were guided by three ideas: 'support, shop, grow.' With this catalog, we want to acknowledge the extraordinary resilience, strength, and talent of Ukrainian entrepreneurs. By purchasing their products, you not only acquire unique goods but also support women's entrepreneurship and make a significant contribution to the development of Ukraine's economy. We believe that the businesses of Ukrainian women entrepreneurs deserve international recognition and support."
At the event, in addition to the catalog presentation, attendees had the opportunity to listen to speeches by participants, familiarize themselves with products from women entrepreneurs, engage in conversations, make new acquaintances, and establish partnerships.
For the inaugural edition of the catalog, up to 30 businesses in the manufacturing sector, founded by women, were featured across 8 categories: clothing and textiles, jewelry and accessories, cosmetics, home decor, pet products, food items, gifts, printing, and even a wood processing enterprise. In the future, the catalog will be updated and expanded. U&WE Hub is also in the process of creating a separate webpage on their site to showcase even more women-owned businesses and their products.
